Pink power!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is coming to an end, but there’s still time to enlist in the war. October is when millions of women and their loved ones come together to spread the word and raise funds to battle the disease. This is the month we all focus our attention on breast cancer, but we just can’t afford to stop here. Cancer patients and their families need physical and mental care every single day of the year. Survivors must also be accounted for. Many of them are unable to hang their uniforms and carry an invisible arsenal wherever they go. The taunting fear of cancer manifesting in another organ is often present, their emotional treatment goes on.

There are wonderful organizations like AVON 39 and the Pink Pony Fund that work all year long to find the means to end breast cancer. For instance, the 39 mile walk has become a national homecoming for patients, survivors and their supporters. Breast cancer demands our collective strength to end the struggle of many women. Fortunately, there are many ways to support, donate and inspire our fellow sisters wounded by this disease. During this month participating brands designate a percentage of the proceeds of certain articles to the cause. Most of them are easy to spot because they bear the emblem of health, love and the future, the powerful pink ribbon.
